Architect in Residence: The Gapahuk project, Sanna

Ethan Zagorec Marks is an architect from Portland, US who are staying on Træna during the autumn of 2019 to design and build a wind shelter, a so called Gapahuk in norwegian.

The location for the Gapahuk is on the west side of the island Sanna, furthest out in the North Atlantic Sea, right on the Arctic Circle. The site is spectacular and the building will create a nice shelter to enjoy the view over the wild sea.

The project is a collaboration between AIR Træna and Træna Jeger og Friluft.
